Without an assistant there would not be a Dr.(or maybe the dentist could see about 4 patients a day...yeah, just like them being in dental schoolall over). Let that sink in. The DA pay needs to be increased tremendously.

I currently work there now as a cashier mainly. Yes the pay is good I’m making $20 overnight, but after a month I’m drained. It’s very exhausting and yes I knew what I was getting into, but I didn’t realize how such a switch up in my sleeping schedule would mess me up. Already had me feeling a little depressed 😔 so trying to push through and find another job. It feels very cultish and not a place i recommend.

I applied for a handful of Buc-ee's jobs without realizing they were ghost jobs (job postings where employers don't actually intend to fill a position). I didn't receive responses for a long time. Now I realize that this was a blessing in disguise. By the grace of God, I now have a good paying job that isn't stressful. All Glory and Honor shall be His forever and ever. Amen and Amen.

aspiring dental hygienist here!… i recently had a probing procedure done to measure the periodontal pockets at the end of my cleaning and i didn’t know what that meant. all i heard was the assistant come in and my hygienist was like “okay we’re ready to probe” and in my mind i was like “PROBE??” … but then she explained the procedure to me lol

I finally passed my DAT exam after all the stress.I thank God for the great opportunity and my tutor Thomas 🎊🎊🎉🎉 All my prayers to those struggling to pass through DAT cause it hasn't been easy.I hope y'all make it some day too Amen🙏

That uniform style is suited more for assistants in an esthetic/plastic surgeons office. Though, it certainly is not a reach to implement that style in a DDS office. I would prefer less form fitting on the body. I am 100% man, yes, but I would not want to co e to my dentist for needed procedures and have to see body parts walking all around me and telling me to spit or whatever else patients do hahahah spit. ...or pray or stuff I dunno.

On bucees....they want work hard okay hard mentality but are okay with any fall through the Crack employees. You, however, we're not a casualty. The miscarriage is a very special event. I put the fault on them entirely. Hopefully, the DDS you work for is more caring as you deserve it. My Mom miscarried twin boys when I was 12 and I always felt all her physical pains in the exact same part of my own body. Weird huh?? Me amd my Mom were connected like that. We are kinda in the same boat, parents are big landlords in the area. But my husband hates to deal with the properties and he just wants to work in tech field. I’m a stay home mom for the past 5 years. I hate it so much, but I have a huge gap that I can’t go back to my older career. As my kid goes to school, I’m looking for a career change, I don’t want to do the rental business either, I just want something straightforward like dental hygienist. That means I ll have to spend another 2 years in school. I’m so lost. 😞
